H.E. Ms. Paetongtarn Shinawatra, Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Thailand, will pay an official visit to the People’s Republic of China in Beijing and attend the 9th Asian Winter Games opening ceremony in Harbin during 5 - 8 February 2025 at the invitation of H.E. Mr. Li Qiang, Premier of the State Council of the People’s Republic of China.

During this official visit, Prime Minister Paetongtarn will pay a courtesy call on H.E. Mr. Xi Jinping, President of the People’s Republic of China, and have a bilateral meeting with H.E. Mr. Li Qiang, Premier of the State Council of the People’s Republic of China, as well as H.E. Mr. Zhao Leji, Chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People’s Congress. Prime Minister Paetongtarn will also meet with Chinese and Thai business executives to further strengthen the business partnership between the two countries. Following the official meetings in Beijing, she will travel to Harbin to attend the opening ceremony of the 9th Asian Winter Games.

Prime Minister Paetongtarn’s official visit marks the beginning of the Golden Jubilee year for Thailand - China Friendship in celebration of the 50th anniversary of the establishment of their diplomatic relations. The visit presents an opportunity to further advance the Thailand - China Comprehensive Strategic Cooperative Partnership and the Thai - China Community with Shared Future for Enhanced Stability, Prosperity, and Sustainability through a forward-looking and people-centred vision and cooperation. It will also reaffirm political commitment to advancing shared goals of promoting the safety and well-being, as well as future-readiness of the two peoples, while deepening understanding and cooperation between them.
