On 26 March 2024, H.E. Mr. Parnpree Bahiddha-Nukara, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Thailand, delivered an opening remark via a pre-recorded video, at the 2024 OECD Global Anti-Corruption and Integrity Forum, held during 26-27 March 2024 in Paris, under the theme “Designing our future with integrity”. This year was the first time that the OECD invited a minister-level representative from Thailand to speak at this meeting. This demonstrated the recognition of Thailand’s role in promoting anti-corruption efforts and integrity, as well as international cooperation in these fields.

On this occasion, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs underlined the cooperation between Thailand and international partners, including with the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) in the areas of anti-corruption and integrity in public sector, as well as the promotion of responsible business conduct. The cooperation with the OECD will help Thailand improve relevant standards and prepare for the country’s future adherence to the OECD Convention on Combating Bribery of Foreign Public Officials in International Business Transactions, which corresponds to the country’s vision and policy of opening for business and creating a better business climate through good governance, transparency, and public integrity so as to strengthen Thailand’s position as a trustworthy business partner in the world.
