On February 22, 2025, Ms. Somjai Taphaopong, Consul General of Thailand in New York, attended a special screening of "The Cursed Land", a Thai horror film selected for the Bloody Saturday Night Asian Horror program featured in the NYC Winter Film Festival 2025. The screening took place at Look Cinemas, New York City, where Festival Director Steffani L. Finn warmly welcomed the Consul General and guests.

 

     The Consul General extended her appreciation to Director Finn for providing Thai film industry a platform to be seen by the NYC film lovers. To add a touch of Thai hospitality, Consul General also brought homemade cranberry cookies from her residence to share with attendees, offering them a taste of Thailand while enjoying the festival’s vibrant film lineup. She also encouraged audiences to continue supporting Thai cinema and exploring diverse storytelling and cultural aspects from Thailand.
