Meeting Thai Community and Visiting Thai Buddhist Temples in Massachusetts

During March 28-29, 2025, Ms. Somjai Taphaopong, Consul General of Thailand in New York, together with Mr. Khanthong Nuanual, Deputy Consul General, Mr. Athikom Daengpun, Consul, and Mr. Threeracht Songtachalert, Honorary Vice Consul of Thailand in Boston, met Thai community and visited Thai Buddhist temples during their visit to Massachusetts
In the evening of March 28, the Consulate-General team gladly met with representatives of the Thai community at Montien Thai Restaurant in Boston, to discuss their livelihood and upcoming activities, as well as the Consulates-General’s supportive measures. The attendees represented the Buddhist School of Nawamintararachutis Temple, Nuad Thai and Spa Association of America – Northeast Region, Association of Thai Students in America – Northeast Region, scholars of the Prince Mahidol Award Youth Program, as well as academic and business sectors.
On the following day, March 29, the Consulate-General team visited Boston Buddha Vararam Temple in Bedford and Nawamintararachutis Temple in Raynham. They paid respect to the resident monks and further discussed Temples’ affairs including Thai community activities planned for this year.
The Royal Thai Consulate-General in New York works closely with the Royal Thai Honorary Consulate-General in Boston in supporting activities of the Thai community on various occasions, with a view to preserving and promoting the status and the pride of Thai community in the U.S..
