The Royal Thai Consulate-General Organizes a Volunteer Activity to Bring Joy to Seniors in New York

On January 23, 2025, Miss Somjai Taphaopong, Consul General of Thailand in New York, accompanied by Dr. Ketsuree Vijaranakorn, Senior Director of the Thai Trade Center, and Mr. Nanthapol Sudbanthad, Director of the Thailand Board of Investment, New York Office, along with officials and staff from the Royal Thai Consulate-General and Team Thailand agencies, delivered snack and beverage packages prepared at the Consul General’s residence to approximately 150 seniors at the Elmhurst-J.H. Senior Center in Queens, New York. The delegation was warmly welcomed by Ms. Miriam Rolon, the Center’s Director, and Mr. Erik Eitel, the Assistant Director.

This activity was part of the Consulate General’s volunteer initiatives to provide public service and community support pn the auspicious occasion of His Majesty King Maha Vajiralongkorn Phra Vajiraklaochaoyuhua Attaining the Same Age as His Majesty King Buddha Yodfa Chulalok the Great (Rama I) 2025.

The Consulate General remains committed to engaging with the local community and fostering goodwill by supporting Thai seniors and other communities in New York through meaningful cultural and charitable activities.
