On 17 January 2025, in a meaningful gesture to strengthen the bond between Thailand and India, the Royal Thai Consulate-General in Kolkata, donated essential supplies to Candasiri Buddha Vihar School in Vaishali, Bihar. The items included mosquito nets to protect students from diseases like malaria and dengue, sports shoes to enhance their participation in physical education, and blankets to provide warmth and comfort during the colder months, all aimed at improving the students' well-being and quality of life.
At the ceremony, Ms. Siriporn Tantipanyathep, Consul-General of Thailand in Kolkata, and Phrakru Siddhipriyativides, Chief Abbot of Wat Thai Vaishali, shared inspiring messages, highlighting the importance of generosity, compassion, and social responsibility. They encouraged the students to embrace these values in their lives, reflecting the shared commitment of both Thailand and India to support the growth of these young minds.
Candasiri Buddha Vihar School continues to be a model of educational and social progress, offering quality education to underprivileged youth. The school’s mission aligns closely with the Consulate’s ongoing efforts to promote sustainable, inclusive development in the local community of Vaishali, Bihar.
