On 17 February 2025, the Ambassador of Thailand chaired the 1/2025 Team Thailand meeting at the Royal Thai Consulate-General in Karachi with attendance from the Royal Thai Embassy in Islamabad, Royal Thai Consulate General, Karachi, the Office of Foreign Trade in Dhaka, the Tourism Authority of Thailand , and Thai Airways. The meeting aimed to discuss collaborative strategies and ways in strengthening and expanding economic, trade, investment, and tourism cooperation between Thailand and Pakistan. This will be spearheaded by projects to increase the number of tourists and increasing two-way trade through expanding air services between Thailand and Pakistan, finalizing Thailand-Pakistan FTA, proposal to find new avenues under Halal Tourism which cater to Pakistan’s tourists and travelers as well as exploring new routes under the Gandhara civilization.
The meeting emphasized the importance of integrated collaboration among Team Thailand agencies to achieve common goals, promote Thailand’s interests in Pakistan, and further strengthen bilateral relations between the two countries.
