On 23 June 2022, Mr. Taketani Atsushi, President of JETRO Bangkok paid a farewell call on H.E. Mr. Don Pramudwinai, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs on the occasion of the completion of his term of duty.

DPM/FM expressed his appreciation to the President of JETRO Bangkok for the active role in promoting economic relations between Thailand and Japan during the past three years in office, which is a challenging time from the COVID-19 pandemic and sought continued support from JETRO in the development of green technology and human resource development, particularly in the expansion of KOSEN Institutes in Thailand.

The President of JETRO Bangkok expressed appreciation to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Thailand for the support extended to JETRO Bangkok in promoting economic relations between Thailand and Japan. He also expressed satisfaction of the continued exchanges of high-level visits between the two countries since the beginning of this year, particularly the visit to Thailand by the Minister of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI) in January and the reciprocal exchanges of visits between the Prime Ministers of both countries in May. Furthermore, he praised the Royal Thai Government for efficiently managing the COVID-19 pandemic, which ensured smooth operation of Japanese businesses in Thailand and retained their confidence in the Thai economy.
