H.E. Mr. Rongvudhi Virabutr, Ambassador-designate of Thailand led a delegation in a meeting with Mrs. Masarrat Misbah, founder of cosmetic under the brand “ Masarrat Misbah Makeup”. Mrs. Misbah is also well known for being a social activist and philanthropist through her Depilex Smileagain Foundation Depilex Smileagain Foundation, which offer assistance in restoring the livelihoods of female victims of acid burns.
This meeting led to the collaboration between the Thai Embassy, Masarrat Misbah and UN Women Pakistan in developing “Women Empowerment as Beauty Professionals” project with the aim of developing female beautician in beauty business through development of curriculum integrating skills with the necessary knowledge in beauty business under the framework of social, religious and cultural context of the local community. “This project not only creates employment but also build confidence and economic independence for the women in Pakistan”
This collaboration is in accordance with enhancing Thailand-Pakistan cooperation especially in the field of sustainable development.
