On 20 December 2024, Mr. Paisan Rupanichkit, Deputy Permanent Secretary for Foreign Affairs, had a discussion with Mr. Keonki Roh, Deputy Minister for Trade Negotiations and Indo-Pacific Economic Framework (IPEF) Chief Negotiator, Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy, Republic of Korea, at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Both sides discussed on strengthening economic cooperation, particularly on the implementation of the four IPEF Agreements relating to Supply Chain Resilience, Clean Economy, Fair Economy, and the setting up of the overarching mechanism at the ministerial level to oversee IPEF overall cooperation, which were signed and came into force earlier this year. They also reaffirmed commitment to working with IPEF partners to advance IPEF cooperation and exchanged views on future cooperation, especially with regard to the IPEF Crisis Response Network under the Supply Chain Pillar, of which the Republic of Korea is the current Chair.
