Director-General of American and South Pacific Affairs Department welcomed Honorary-Consul of the Kingdom of Thailand in New Orleans, Louisiana on the occasion of the courtesy call

On 1 October 2024, Mr. Chettaphan Maksamphan, Director-General of the Department of American and South Pacific Affairs, met with Mr. Mark Collins Romig, Honorary-Consul of the Kingdom of Thailand in New Orleans, Louisiana, and his partner, Mr. David Allen Briggs, during their visit to Thailand.
The Director-General congratulated Mr. Romig on his appointment as Honorary-Consul in Louisiana. Both sides had a fruitful discussion on promoting active engagement with the Thai community in Louisiana. They also discussed ways to further advance Thailand-U.S. relations, including enhancing economic and business opportunities, especially two-way trade and investment, as well as cooperation on educational and cultural exchanges, tourism, and the film industry.
