On 17 March 2026, H.E. Mr. Sihasak Phuangketkeow, Minister of Foreign Affairs, visited the Royal Thai Embassy in London and provided guidance on advancing foreign policy in a meeting with H.E. Mr. Nadhavathna Krishnamra, Ambassador of Thailand to the United Kingdom, heads of offices and representatives of Team Thailand agencies in the United Kingdom, together with officials at the Chancery.

The Foreign Minister provided guidance and policy direction on advancing foreign policy to Team Thailand, as well as exchanged views on key regional and global issues, including the role of major powers and the United Kingdom in the Indo-Pacific, the Thailand - Cambodia situation, the situation in Myanmar, the promotion of Thailand’s role within the ASEAN framework, and combatting online scams.

The meeting also discussed the impacts of the situation in the Middle East, particularly in the economic dimension, developments within the framework of the International Maritime Organization (IMO), and the positions of various countries in affirming the right to safe passage in the Middle East and responding to developments in the region, as well as the possibility of considering additional energy sources for Thailand to handle the impacts of the situation in both the short and long term.
