On 24 November 2025, H.E. Mr. Sihasak Phuangketkeow, Minister of Foreign Affairs, welcomed H.E. Dr. Varsen Aghabekian Shahin, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the State of Palestine, during her visit to Thailand.
Both sides exchanged views on regional developments in the Middle East, including progress in the peace process and the humanitarian situation in the Gaza Strip. Thailand reaffirmed its support for the two-state solution and its continued humanitarian assistance to Palestine. The Foreign Minister pledged an additional 100,000 USD to the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) in support of the organisation’s humanitarian operations in the Gaza Strip. Both sides also discussed ways to advance bilateral cooperation, particularly development cooperation through TICA, trilateral partnerships, and the relevant multilateral frameworks.
This visit marks the first high-level bilateral visit by the Palestinian side in 7 years. Thailand has recognised and established diplomatic relations with the State of Palestine since 2012.
