On 13 October 2025, Mr. Sihasak Phuangketkeow, Minister of Foreign Affairs, held a bilateral meeting with Dato’ Seri Utama Haji Mohamad bin Haji Hasan, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Malaysia, during his Working Visit to Malaysia from 12 – 13 October 2025.

Both sides discussed ways to strengthen Thailand - Malaysia bilateral relations, particularly preparations for the Thai Prime Minister’s visit to Malaysia during the 47th ASEAN Summit and related meetings scheduled for the end of October 2025. They also discussed ways to enhance economic development at the border, facilitation of cross border trade, and deepening of logistical connectivity between the two countries.

In addition, the Ministers also discussed the Thailand - Cambodia border situation, particularly the recent four-party consultations coordinated by Malaysia, as well as the situation in Myanmar.
