On 2 February 2025, H.E. Mr. Maris Sangiampongsa, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Thailand, paid a courtesy call on H.E. Mr. Isaac Herzog, President of Israel.
The Thai side expressed its deep appreciation for the Israeli side’s assistance and good care for the recent released Thai hostages. In addition, the Thai side sought for Israeli support in further securing the remaining Thai hostage, and retrieving the two bodies of the deceased Thai hostages, back to Thailand. The Minister emphasized that the recent cooperation, building on the already strong relations between the governments of the two countries, takes root deeply in the hearts of the people of both countries. The President also stressed the importance in promoting cooperations in the areas of business, investment, security, infrastructure, and agricultural science, which would create new opportunities for the sustainable bilateral relations.
