Royal Thai Government presents a financial contribution to International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) in support of humanitarian operations in Myanmar

On 11 November 2025, H.E. Mr. Vijavat Isarabhakdi, Vice Minister for Foreign Affairs, presented a 1.5 million baht financial contribution on behalf of the Royal Thai Government to Mr. Jürg Montani, Head of the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) Regional Delegation in Bangkok. This is in support of humanitarian operations in Myanmar in the areas of public health, physical rehabilitation, as well as risk awareness on anti-personnel landmines and the promotion of safe behaviour.

Both sides exchanged views on the situation in Myanmar and humanitarian assistance to Myanmar. The Head of the ICRC Regional Delegation expressed appreciation for the financial support from Thailand. They also discussed the role of ICRC in the context of the various border disputes in the region.
