On 26 February 2025, H.E. Mrs. Eksiri Pintaruchi, Permanent Secretary for Foreign Affairs, met with H.E. Mr. Remco Johannes van Wijngaarden, Dutch Ambassador to Thailand. Both sides expressed delight over the 420th anniversary of bilateral relations in 2024 which were celebrated through a series of meaningful and constructive activities. They moved on to discuss a variety of bilateral and multilateral issues, including the exchange of high-level visits, capacity building programmes on agriculture, food, water management and the semiconductor industry, and practical cooperation through EU, ASEAN and other international fora. They also agreed that the two countries would support each other on key international issues affecting regional stability and global security.
