On 25 - 26 October 2023, His Excellency Mr. Parnpree Bahiddha-Nukara, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Thailand, is scheduled to pay an official visit to the Socialist Republic of Viet Nam at the invitation of His Excellency Mr. Bui Thanh Son, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Viet Nam, prior to attending the OECD Southeast Asia Ministerial Forum 2023 in Hanoi.

This official visit is an important event as Thailand and Viet Nam celebrate the 10th anniversary of Strategic Partnership this year. During the visit, the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Thailand will have a bilateral meeting with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Viet Nam. The two sides will discuss ways to promote greater economic and security cooperation and more people-to-people exchanges and deeper mutual understanding between the two countries. Both sides will also exchange views on regional and international issues of common interest and concern.

The Thai Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs will also pay a courtesy call on the Prime Minister of Viet Nam and meet with the Head of the Vietnamese Communist Party Central Committee’s Commission of External Relations. He will also meet with representatives of the Thai Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ThaiCham) in Viet Nam and attend the relaunching ceremony of Thai Airways direct flights between Thailand and Viet Nam.
