On 8 June 2023, His Excellency Mr. Don Pramudwinai, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, held a bilateral meeting with His Excellency Mr. Adel Al-Jubeir, Minister of State for Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, during his official visit to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia upon the invitation of His Excellency the Minister of Investment of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

Both sides expressed satisfaction with the rapid progress of the Thai - Saudi bilateral relations following the normalisation of diplomatic relations between the two countries. The visit to Thailand of His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince and Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, is viewed as the milestone that has set a clear direction for the Thai – Saudi relations resulting in tangible progress at all levels of the relations.  

On this occasion, both sides concured that Thailand and Saudi Arabia has vast potential for cooperation in all areas, and see the Saudi-Thai Coordination Council: STCC as an important
mechanism to elevate the Saudi – Thai cooperation in the near future. The Thai side confirms its readiness to host the first meeting in Bangkok. The two sides also discussed and exchanged on the political situations and developments in the region and the world, as well as other matters of mutual interests. 

Following the meeting, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, visited the Line Experience Exhibition, upon the recommendation and arrangement of the Minister of State for Foreign Affairs. The Exhibition highlighted various aspects of the Line, a Mega project under the Saudi Vision 2030, for which the Thai side could positively support the Saudi side due to the complementary nature of the Saudi Vision 2030 and the Thai Government’s Bio-Circular-Green (BCG) Economy model, for the mutual social and economic development of both countries while safeguarding the environment.
