On 20 February 2024, H.E. Ms. Busadee Santipitaks, Deputy Permanent Secretary, led the Heads of the Diplomatic Missions and their spouses on a visit to the Doi Tung Development Project of the Mae Fah Luang Foundation under Royal Patronage. The participants witnessed how a people-centric royal development approach has improved the well-being of local communities and promotes inclusive growth. The Foundation’s development also supports the commitment to promote human development for all walks of life. The group also joined the workshop on arts and crafts, which is part of the development project’s capacity-building work.

Then, the participating diplomatic corps attended the 3rd edition of Thailand Biennale in Chiang Rai 2023, organized by the Ministry of Culture of Thailand, which has undertaken the initiative to hold an international contemporary art exhibition under this year theme “the Open World,” showcasing the works of Thai and international artists. The exhibition reflects the Thai Government’s plan to promote economic growth as well as garner the recognition of Thailand as a destination for contemporary arts.

DPS Busadee, as representative of the Permanent Secretary, also hosted the welcome dinner for the participating diplomatic corps while Lanna style fashion show as well as local OTOP products were presented during dinner.
