On 13 July 2026, Ms. Somrudee Poopornanek, Director-General of the Department of European Affairs, had discussions with Ms. Ebba Scholl, Chargé d’Affaires a.i. of the Embassy of the Federal Republic of Germany in Thailand, and Dr. Roland Wein, Executive Director of the German-Thai Chamber of Commerce.

Both sides discussed ways to further strengthen Thailand - Germany cooperation in the areas of economy, trade, investment and public - private partnership. They also exchanged views on the Asia-Pacific Conference of German Business (APK) and Thailand’s future participation,  and discussed promoting high-level exchanges, as well as advancing bilateral economic cooperation mechanisms and defence industry collaboration. They reaffirmed their commitment to working closely together to further strengthen the Thailand - Germany partnership.
