Director-General of the South Asian, Middle East and African Affairs Department meets with Ambassador of the Sultanate of Oman to Thailand

On 20 May 2026, Mrs. Urasa Mongkolnavin, Director-General of the Department of South Asian, Middle East and African Affairs, held a discussion with H.E. Mr. Issa Abdullah Jaber Al Alawi, Ambassador of the Sultanate of Oman to Thailand.

Both sides discussed preparations for the official visit to Thailand by H.E. Sayyid Badr bin Hamad bin Hamood Albusaidi, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Sultanate of Oman, in the last quarter of 2026. They also discussed the situation in the Middle East, including approaches to providing humanitarian assistance to those affected by conflict in the region.
