On 10 June 2026, Ms. Pinsuda Jayanama, Director-General of the Department of International Organizations, had discussions with H.E. Mrs. Katharina Wieser, Ambassador of the Republic of Austria to Thailand, on the occasion of the Ambassador’s assumption of duty.

The Director-General congratulated Austria for being elected as non-permanent member of the United Nations Security Council for the term 2027 - 2028. Both sides exchanged views on the present state of multilateralism and opportunities to enhance cooperation between Thailand and Austria in the United Nations, including Thailand serving as host country for United Nations agencies.
