On 9 January 2025, Mrs. Maratee Nalita Andamo, Deputy Director-General of the Department of Information, attended a briefing for foreign defence attachés accredited to Thailand on the roles, missions, and operational guidelines of the Royal Thai Air Force in the Thailand - Cambodia situation, at the Royal Thai Air Force Headquarters. Defence attachés from 22 countries, along with members of both Thai and foreign media participated in this briefing.

Air Chief Marshal Sakesan Kantha, Commander-in-Chief of the Royal Thai Air Force delivered the opening remarks, underscoring the briefing’s objective to enhance understanding of Thailand’s air operations, which were conducted in strict compliance with international law, humanitarian principles, and international humanitarian law, in order to safeguard Thailand’s sovereignty and territorial integrity. All operations conducted by Thailand were precisely targeted on military objectives to diminish the military capabilities of the Cambodian side while preventing impacts on civilians and minimizing collateral damage. In addition, Thailand used this opportunity to clarify facts and address false information and disinformation, based on verified facts, transparency, and a unified communication approach through integrated inter-agency cooperation.

The briefing is an ongoing effort to reinforce the momentum in clarifying factual information and Thailand’s position to the international community.
