Deputy Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs chaired the Presentation Ceremony of the Royal Decoration upon Mr. David Lyman, Chairman and Chief Values Officer, Tilleke & Gibbins International Ltd., for his outstanding contribution to Thailand in promoting ties and cooperation between Thailand - the United States, and his significant role in the construction of the Geodesic Dome at the American Garden located in Suan Luang Rama IX.

On 15 December 2021, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, on behalf of the Royal Thai Government, organised the Presentation Ceremony of the Royal Decoration upon Mr. David Lyman, Chairman and Chief Values Officer, Tilleke & Gibbins International Ltd. chaired by His Excellency Mr. Tana Weskosith, Deputy Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The ceremony was attended by Mr. Chittipat Tongprasroeth, Director-General of the Department of Protocol, Mr. Witchu Vejjajiva, Director-General of the Department of American and South Pacific Affairs and the Honorable Michael Heath, Chargé d’ Affaires a.i., Embassy of the United States of America.

His Majesty the King, upon recommendation by the Royal Thai Government, has graciously granted the Member (Fifth Class) of the Most Admirable Order of Direkgunabhorn upon Mr. Lyman for his outstanding contribution to Thailand in tirelessly promoting ties and cooperation between Thailand and the United States of America, encompassing economic, social and cultural affinity as well as people-to-people contact. In particular, he played a significant role in the construction of the Geodesic Dome as a living collection of desert plants at the American Garden, located in Suan Luang Rama IX, in commemoration of His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej The Great in 1988.
