On June 13, 2022, H.E. Mr. Marek Libřický, Ambassador of the Czech Republic to Thailand paid a farewell call on H.E. Mr. Don Pramudwinai, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Thailand.

On this occasion, both sides discussed the close bilateral relations between Thailand and the Czech Republic, including key developments during Ambassador Libřický's tenure, such as the official visit to Thailand of the Prime Minister of the Czech Republic in 2019, which was the first visit to Thailand by a sitting Prime Minister of the Czech Republic since the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries. The Ambassador also shared views on the Czech Republic’s upcoming Presidency of the EU Council in the latter half of this year.

Both sides also discussed international and regional frameworks which both sides place importance to, as well as emphasized the promotion of people-to-people relations through soft diplomacy, e.g., sports and tourism.
