On 26 May 2025, Mrs. Krongkanit Rakcharoen, Director-General, Department of European Affairs, met with H.E. Mr. Evagoras Vryonides, Ambassador of the Republic of Cyprus to the Kingdom of Thailand to exchange views on activities to celebrate the auspicious occasion of the 45th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Thailand and the Republic of Cyprus in 2025. They expressed their mutual commitment to utilize this significant milestone as a driving force to elevate and expand cooperation between the two countries across various dimensions.

The discussions also covered key areas of cooperation, including the promotion of tourism, the enhancement of economic collaboration, and expediting pending agreements, with a view to strengthen the foundation of bilateral cooperation and people-to-people connection between the two countries.
