On 15 March 2023, Mrs. Thitiporn Chirasawadi, Director of Devawongse Varopakarn Institute of Foreign Affairs (DVIFA), paid a visit to Singaporean agencies including the Diplomatic Academy of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Singapore, Singapore Southeast Asian Ministers of Education Organization - Regional Language Centre (SEAMEO - RELC), and Civil Service College (CSC) to discuss cooperation on human resources development and language learning for personnel in the field of foreign services.

The Director held a meeting with Ms.Tan Yee Woan, Dean of the Diplomatic Academy of Singapore and discussed on the cooperation in the field of foreign services training. Both sides emphasised the importance of regular exchange between junior diplomats under Civil Service Exchange Programme (CSEP) as the strong foundation for cooperation and network building between the two countries’ diplomats.

The Director also paid a call to Mrs. Susan Leong, Director of SEAMEO - RELC, which is the institution that supports language education for personnel from governmental agencies in Southeast Asia, and executives from Civil Service College, which is a public unit that holds training for Singapore’s officers, to discuss ways to enhance cooperation between the institutes.
