On 10 October 2024, Mrs. Krongkanit Rakcharoen, Director-General of the Department of European Affairs, welcomed H.E. Mr. Danny Annan, Ambassador of Denmark to Thailand, who paid a courtesy call on the occasion of his assumption of duty.

On this occasion, both sides discussed ways to enhance trade, investment, and bilateral cooperation, particularly in agriculture, livestock, and circular economy. They further explored the possibility of holding the 7th Thai-Danish Political Consultation and exchanges of high-level visits, and also exchanged views on the situation in the Middle East. In addition, the Thai side sought Denmark’s support in strengthening the Thai-EU relations, particularly in the negotiations of the Thai-EU FTA and Schengen visa exemption for Thai ordinary passport holders, with Denmark set to hold the Presidency of the Council of the European Union in the second half of 2025.
