On 6 September 2021, Consul-General Nitirooge Phoneprasert paid a courtesy call on Honorable Thaawarchand Gehlot, Governor of Karnataka, in Raj Bhavan. Governor Gehlot took oath as the 19^th Governor of Karnataka on 11 July 2021.

Both sides were pleased with the current state of friendly and cordial bilateral relations between Thailand and Karnataka and agreed to take the relationship to its new heights as well as to further strengthen government-to-government, business-to-business and people-to-people ties.
