Excellency,

I wish to convey my sincerest and whole-hearted condolences to you and, through you, to the members of the Royal Family and the Government and people of the Kingdom of Bahrain on the passing of Thailand’s dearest friend, His Royal Highness Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa, Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Bahrain.

I recall with the fondest memories from numerous occassions that I had the great honour to be granted audiences with His Royal Highness, whose astute leadership and wisdom never ceased to impress me. Indeed, it was His Royal Highness’s lifetime contributions to Bahrain and her people that had exemplarily steered the Kingdom on the course of advancement, development and prosperity for almost five decades.

Moreover, His Royal Highness had always shown grace, compassion and generosity for Thailand and her people, thereby cultivating a unique bond of friendship that has taken deep root in both of our Kingdoms and peoples. In this time of bereavement, the people of Thailand and I join the people of Bahrain in mourning for this incommensurable loss.
