On 27 April 2026, H.E. Mr. Sihasak Phuangketkeow, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, held a bilateral meeting with H.E. Kaja Kallas, High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy and Vice-President of the European Commission, on the sidelines of the 25th ASEAN-EU Ministerial Meeting (AEMM) in Bandar Seri Begawan, Brunei Darussalam.
Both sides exchanged views on cooperation in responding to global challenges, including promoting the multilateral free trade system and strengthening energy security. They emphasized the importance of ASEAN - EU cooperation as a strategic partnership in advancing multilateralism and a rules-based international order.
Both sides discussed key regional developments and cooperation to address regional challenges, including efforts to combat online scams and transnational crime, the situation in Myanmar, particularly humanitarian assistance, as well as the Thailand - Cambodia border situation.
