On 7 July 2026, Ms. Somrudee Poopornanake, Acting Director-General of the Department of European Affairs, had discussions with members of the board of the British Chamber of Commerce Thailand (BCCT). 

Both sides discussed promoting Thailand - United Kingdom and Thailand - European Union trade and investment cooperation, potential of both markets, measures to support Thai entrepreneurs, as well as advancing trade facilitation to enhance Thailand's competitiveness.
