On 27 November 2025, Mrs. Chulamanee Chartsuwan, Thai Governor to the Asia-Europe Foundation (ASEF), participated in the ASEF Executive Committee (ExCo) Meeting to deliberate on the Foundation’s strategic direction and administrative policies.
 
The Thai Governor briefed the meeting on Thailand’s proactive efforts to combat online crime, including the country’s role as host of the International Conference on Global Partnership against Online Scams in December 2025. She also encouraged ASEF to organise meetings dedicated to addressing online crime and reaffirmed Thailand’s readiness to contribute actively to this global endeavour. The ExCo discussed several key issues, including the alignment of ASEF projects with priorities related to the green transition, sustainability, and Artificial Intelligence (AI); the development of ASEF’s new Strategic Plan for 2027–2030; the Foundation’s financial sustainability, and; policy recommendations.
 
ASEF is the only institution under the Asia - Europe Meeting (ASEM) framework mandated to promote mutual understanding between Asia and Europe and to support ASEM’s Track II cooperation across seven key areas: (1) Education, (2) Culture, (3) Governance, (4) Public Health, (5) Media, (6) Economy, and (7) Sustainable Development.
