ASEAN FOREIGN MINISTERS’ STATEMENT ON THE EARTHQUAKE
IN THE KINGDOM OF MOROCCO

1. ASEAN is saddened by the tragic loss of lives and extensive damage to properties caused by the earthquake in the High Atlas Mountains in the Kingdom of Morocco.

2. ASEAN expresses its heartfelt sympathies and condolences to the Government and people of the Kingdom of Morocco, especially the families of the victims of the earthquake.

3. ASEAN affirms its solidarity with the Government and people of the Kingdom of Morocco in these trying times and stands ready to extend its assistance to the relief efforts. ASEAN is confident that the Kingdom of Morocco will overcome and recover swiftly from the impact of this natural disaster.
