On 30 August 2024, Mrs. Eksiri Pintaruchi, Permanent Secretary for Foreign Affairs, on behalf of the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Thailand, jointly delivered opening remarks with H.E. Mr. Saleumxay Kommasith, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Lao PDR, at the ASEAN Outlook on the Indo-Pacific (AOIP) Forum: Towards UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) 2030 in Vientiane, Lao PDR.

The AOIP Forum was co-hosted by Thailand, as the ASEAN Coordinator for Sustainable Development Cooperation, and Lao PDR, as the ASEAN Chair in 2024, with an aim to promote UN Sustainable Development Goal (SDGs) 2030. This Forum serves as a platform for ASEAN Member States and external partners to share their experiences and best practices through 3 sessions of panel discussion, namely (1) Connecting the Connectivities: Towards a Green ASEAN 2045; (2) Climate Resilence; and (3) Green Production and Consumption.
