On 2 November 2021, H.E. Mrs. Serap Ersoy, Ambassador of Turkey to Thailand, paid a courtesy call on H.E. Mr. Thani Thongphakdi, Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Thailand. The Permanent Secretary congratulated the Ambassador on the assumption of her duty and assured the Ambassador of the Ministry’s readiness to work together to reinforce closer partnership between the two countries.

Both sides discussed promoting the bilateral relations in a comprehensive manner, including the follow-up of the key outcomes of
the 5th Thai-Turkish Political Consultations, enhanced economic cooperation, particularly investment opportunity in Thailand’s Eastern Economic Corridor (EEC) as well as increased cooperation on science, technology and innovation, defence industry and development cooperation.
Furthermore, both sides discussed preparations for the 4th Thai-Turkish Joint Economic and Technical Cooperation (JETC) to be hosted by Turkey in 2022.
