On 24 September 2021, H.E. Mr. Paisan Rupanichakij, Ambassador of Thailand to Mexico, met with Mr. Arturo Alvarado, Rector of University of Mondragon Mexico as well as senior staff from the Faculty of Hospitality and Tourism during his visit to Queretaro on 22-24 September 2021 as part of the Royal Thai Embassy’ Economic Roadshow Project. 

The Ambassador was briefed on cooperation between the University of Mondrago Mexico and the Prince of Songkla University, Phuket Campus, in the area of hospitality and tourism. Both universities are jointly organizing a Virtual Exchange Programme through a Webinar on Gastronomy and Tourism between Thailand and Mexico during September-November 2021. After this Webinar, future activities will be explored
including student and teacher exchanges as well as joint study programs with the view to promoting mutual understanding and knowledge among students and teachers on tourism, gastronomy and culture of the two countries. 

The Ambassador also visited the facilities of the University, which was founded in 2011. The University offers various courses for Bachelor and Master degrees, as well as short training courses for entrepreneurs and the general public.
