On 6 February 2023, H.E. Mr. Vijavat Isarabhakdi, Vice Minister for Foreign Affairs of Thailand, delivered the opening remarks at the opening ceremony of the 7th Young ASEAN Leaders Policy Initiative (YALPI) which was organised by Chulalongkorn University under the theme, “Rethinking a Post-COVID-19 ASEAN: an Equitable and Resilient Socio-Economic Recovery.” The opening ceremony was attended by 59 youth representatives from ASEAN Member States and Dialogue Partners.

In his remarks, the Vice Minister Vijavat emphasised the important role of youth in addressing key challenges that face our region, for example, COVID-19, by advancing inclusive and accelerated digital transformation. He also expressed hope that this Forum will form new bonds for future networks and constructive collaboration and the ideas of the youth will resonate into concrete results, leading to greater change that will shape ASEAN for the better.
