H.E. Mr. Don Pramudwinai, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Thailand, is scheduled to visit the Kingdom of the Netherlands on 6 – 7 February 2019 and the Russian Federation on 7 – 8 February 2019.

 

During the visit to the Kingdom of the Netherlands, the Minister of Foreign Affairs will meet with H.E. Mr. Stef Blok, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of the Netherlands. He will also visit Royal Vopak, the world’s biggest liquid tank storage provider, which invests in many countries around the world, including Thailand.

 

The visit to the Russian Federation is arranged upon the invitation of H.E. Mr. Sergey Lavrov, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation, during his visit to the Kingdom of Thailand during 9 – 10 August 2017. On this occasion, the Minister of Foreign Affairs will have a bilateral discussion with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation, and sign the 4th Plan of Consultations between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Thailand and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation (2019 – 2021). Furthermore, he will meet with H.E. Mr. Denis Manturov, Minister of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation, who is currently the Co-chair of the Joint Commission on Bilateral Cooperation between Thailand and Russia. 

 

During his visit to the Russian Federation, the Minister of Foreign Affairs will also be accompanied by a business delegation comprising representatives from Thailand’s Eastern Economic Corridor Office, EXIM Bank as well as exporters, who will be participating in a business networking and matching event with Russian counterparts.

 

The objectives of the visit to the Kingdom of the Netherlands and the Russian Federation are to further strengthen Thailand’s relations with both countries as well as to enhance cooperation on issues of common interests and beneficial to Thailand’s development, especially in terms of economy, trade, investment, and energy as well as science and technology.
