On 22 January 2019, Ms. Arjaree Sriratanaban, Ambassador attached to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Thailand and Dean of Devawongse Varopakarn Institute of Foreign Affairs, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and Mr. Sergiy Korsunsky, Director of Hennadii Udovenko Diplomatic Academy of Ukraine, signed the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) on cooperation between the Devawongse Varopakarn Institute of Foreign Affairs of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Thailand and the Hennadii Udovenko Diplomatic Academy of Ukraine, Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine at Bua Kaew Hall, Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The ceremony was attended and witnessed by H.E. Mr. Andrii Beshta, Ambassador of Ukraine to Thailand, Mr. Pirawat Atsavapranee, Deputy Director-General of the Department of European Affairs, and Mr. Krit Tankanarat, Director of Devawongse Varopakarn Institute of Foreign Affairs. 

 

The MOU symbolises mutual goodwill and the shared goal to enhance cooperation between Thailand and Ukraine. Both sides agree to enhance cooperation in diplomatic training by undertaking the exchange of experts, experience and best practice, information, as well as seminars and training courses, which would result in the strengthening of people to people relations between Thailand and Ukraine.

 

After the signing of the MOU, Mr. Sergiy Korsunsky gave a special lecture on “Security Challenges in Withstanding Hybrid War” at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The lecture was attended by participants from various relevant government and academic sectors of Thailand.
