On 18 January 2019, Mrs. Viphawan Benniman, Chargé d'Affaires a.i., presided over the opening ceremony of the Thai Day & Thai Children’s Day 2019 event at the Royal Thai Embassy in Abu Dhabi, in which the event was jointly organized between the Royal Thai Embassy and the Thai Ladies’ Circle in Abu Dhabi.

          On this occasion, Chargé d'Affaires pointed out on the importance of the event and how the event helped the children and youth to have their opportunity to learn about Thai culture. Furthermore, the Thai children also performed the Thai traditional dance on the stage and participated in an entertainment program arranged by the Thai Ladies’ Circle in Abu Dhabi.

          The event also included the Muay Thai show from the “Abu Dhabi Muay Thai Gym” and the Thai traditional dance from the Thai community in Abu Dhabi. The guests that joined the event was also enjoyed with the Thai authentic food and the Thai traditional massage from the Thai community in Abu Dhabi. More than 700 persons turned up to participate in the event including members of the diplomatic corps in UAE, Emiratis, Thais and foreign nationals expats.
