On 5 December 2018, at 10.30 hrs., the Royal Thai Consulate-General, Kolkata, organised a Buddhist Ceremony of food offering on the occasion of the Birthday Anniversary of His Majesty the Late King Bhumibol Adulyadej, at the residence of the Consul-General of Thailand in Kolkata, West Bengal, India. Venerable Medhankara Thero, Bhikkhu-in-charge, Maha Bodhi Society of India, graced his presence and chaired the Buddhist Ceremony.
 
At 14.00 hrs., the Royal Thai Consulate-General, Kolkata, organised a ceremony in honour and in remembrance of His Majesty the Late King Bhumibol Adulyadej. Miss Sweeya Santipitaks, Consul-General of Thailand in Kolkata, presented flower offerings in front of the portrait of His Majesty the Late King Bhumibol Adulyadej, and delivered a message in commemoration of His Majesty the Late King Bhumibol Adulyadej. The ceremony ended with the royal homage by the Consul-General and the diplomats of the Royal Thai Consulate-General, Kolkata.
