On 7 November 2018, Ms. Sasirit Tangulrat, Consul-General of Thailand in Shanghai joined H.E. Mr.Liu Xiaoming, Deputy Minister of Transport of China in delivering keynote remarks, at the China International Railway Conference for Urban & Intercity Transit 2018, at the invitation of the Chinese Government.  At this event, the Thai Consul-General and Chinese Deputy Transport Minister also exchanged views on Thailand-China cooperation on infrastructure development, particularly the railway projects as well as other infrastructure projects in Thailand’s Eastern Economic Corridor development.

          The Consul-General mentioned in her remarks that Thailand is advancing economic reform through technological innovation and infrastructure development, which are in line with China’s development strategy.  Thailand also welcomed China-Japan’s cooperation in a third country, beginning with a Smart City project in Thailand.
