               On 15 June 2018, Mr. Naruchai Ninnad, Deputy Consul-General, represented the Royal Thai Consulate-General in Osaka at the closing ceremony of the 19th Duskin Leadership Training Program in Japan organized by Duskin Ainowa Foundation in coordination with The Japanese Society for Rehabilitation of Persons with Disabilities (JSRPD) at the headquarters of the Duskin Company Limited in Osaka. Mr. Teruji Yamamura, Chairman of the Duskin Ainowa Foundation, and Mr. Tsutomu Tagawa, Deputy Director of the Health and Welfare Division, Health and Welfare Department, Kinki Regional Bureau of Health and Welfare, were also present.

                The Duskin Leadership Training Program in Japan provides able persons with disabilities from Asia and the Pacific with an opportunity to come to Japan for a period of 10 months to study and receive training in various topics related to disability in order to acquire necessary skills and knowledge to bring back home to help improve the conditions of persons with disabilities in their countries. This year, five trainees completed the 19th Duskin Leadership Training Program including Miss Keawkul Tantipisitkul from Thailand.

                On the said occasion, the Deputy Consul-General congratulated the five trainees on their successful completion of the Training Program. The Deputy Consul-General also commended the Duskin Ainowa Foundation and JSRPD for carrying out projects to promote social welfare of persons with disabilities and empower the persons with disabilities with potential to become leaders in the area of disability so as to enable them to contribute to society to a large extent.
