Ambassador makes an official visit to Queensland

          During 5 - 6 June 2018, H.E. Mrs. Nantana Sivakua, Ambassador of Thailand and Mr. Pawat Ruangvichatron, Counsellor, travelled to Brisbane and Gold Coast on an official visit to the State of Queensland. The delegation was accompanied by Mr. Andrew Park, Honorary Consul-General of Thailand to Brisbane (Queensland).

          During the official visit, the Ambassador met with H.E. Paul de Jersey, Governor of Queensland, Councillor Graham Quirk, Lord Mayor of Brisbane, The Honourable Catherine Holmes, Chief of Justice of Queensland, Ms. Virginia Greville, General Manager, Trade and Investment Queensland, The Honourable Stirling Hinchliffe MP, Representative of the Premier of Queensland, The Honourable Peter Dutton MP, Federal Minister for Department of Home Affairs, Mayor Tom Tate, Mayor of Gold Coast. Representatives from Department of Education and Training International, Department of Natural Resources, Mines and Energy, Advance Queensland, University of Queensland, Griffith University and Queensland University of Technology. Topics crucial to the strengthening and enhancing of the relations between Thailand and Queensland were extensively discussed during the various meetings including trade and investment, energy cooperation, education, cultural and the wellbeing of the Thai community in Queensland. The official visit will undoubtedly enable Ambassador to further enhance relationship between Thailand and Queensland during her tenure.
