The Royal Thai Consulate-General in Dubai, Tourism Authority of Thailand, Dubai office and Thai Airways International Public Company Limited, Dubai office jointly hosted an IFTAR reception on 28 May 2018 during 19.00 - 21.00 hrs, at Tong Thai Restaurant, JW Marriott Marquis Hotel Dubai. The purpose of this event was to celebrate the holy month of Ramadan and strengthen its existing relations between Thai authorities, Dubai offices and local authorities concerned.

            The event was attended by representatives from various sectors such as Director-General of Finance from Fujairah government, government officials from Dubai Police and Immigration departments, Dubai International Airport, Businessmen, Importers, travel agencies and media who are friends of Thailand in Dubai and the northern Emirates and Diplomatic corps in Dubai (Consulate-General of Philippines, Indonesia, Malaysia Singapore and Pakistan).

             Iftar is a break fast meal after sunset during Ramadan. To promote Thai cuisine during the Iftar, Thai dishes such as Tom Yum Kung, Pad Kra Prao, Green Curry , Som Tum , mango and sticky rice were served to the guests on this occasion.
