The Honourable Cory Gardner (Republican - Colorado), Chairman of the Senate Committee on Foreign Relations’ Subcommittee on East Asia, the Pacific, and International Cybersecurity Policy, paid a courtesy call on H.E. Mr. Don Pramudwinai, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Thailand, during his visit to Thailand from 29 May to 1 June 2018 to reaffirm the United States Congress’s support in the strengthening of Thailand – U.S. bilateral relations.
During the meeting, both sides discussed ways to further deepen bilateral relations in security, trade and investment, and other fields of cooperation as well as exchanged views on important regional and international issues.
During the visit, Senator Gardner also paid courtesy calls upon H.E. General Prayut Chan-o-cha, Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Thailand, and H.E. General Prawit Wongsuwan, Deputy Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Thailand.
The visit of Senator Gardner contributes to strengthening bilateral ties and maintaining the momentum of high-level exchanges between Thailand and the United States following Prime Minister Prayut’s visit to the United States in October 2017.
