The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Thailand and the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (UN ESCAP) will co-host the 2nd High-Level Brainstorming Dialogue on Enhancing Complementarities between the ASEAN Community Vision 2025 and the United Nations 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development on 30 March 2018 at the United Nations Conference Centre (UNCC), Bangkok. H.E. Mr. Don Pramudwinai, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Thailand and H.E. Ms. Shamshad Akhtar, Under Secretary-General of the United Nations and Executive Secretary of UN ESCAP will co-chair and deliver opening remarks. 

 

This meeting aims to follow up on the progress made after the 1st HLBD meeting, especially on sustainable development cooperation, and will be attended by representatives from ASEAN member countries, ASEAN Secretariat, UN agencies, and external parties of ASEAN, such as Norway, Switzerland and Germany.
