The Royal Thai Government Made a Contribution to Help the Victims of Hurricane Irma in Cuba

          On 1 February 2018, Mr. Panyarak Poolthup, Deputy Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Thailand, presented a contribution of 50,000 euros or approximately 2 million baht from the Royal Thai Government to the Government of the Republic of Cuba as humanitarian assistance to the Cuban people affected by Hurricane Irma in September 2017.
          On this occasion, the Deputy Permanent Secretary also handed a letter of condolences from H.E. General Prayut Chan-o-cha (Ret.), the Prime Minister of Thailand, addressed to H.E. Mr. Raúl Castro Ruz, President of the Councils of State and of Ministers of the Republic of Cuba, to H.E. Mr. Héctor Conde Almeida, Ambassador of the Republic of Cuba to Thailand as a token of goodwill and friendship from the Royal Thai Government and the Thai people.
          The Ambassador of the Republic of Cuba to Thailand also took this opportunity to express his heartfelt appreciation to the Royal Thai Government and the people of Thailand for providing support to Cuba and affirmed that the Republic of Cuba is ready to cooperate with Thailand in areas such as medicine, public health and coastal conservation.
